What's Happening

Learning Express Library is changing - 4/15/2014

The current version of Learning Express Library is 2.0. They are moving to 3.0 at the end of June. What this means is that ALL current users of 2.0 need to switch to 3.0. You will lose any saved tests and courses, so you need to wrap them up before the switch date. All new users should register for 3.0. Find more about Learning Express Library at http://libguides.sinclair.edu/content.php?pid=447649&sid=3729404.

Changes to LexisNexis Interface - 1/13/2014

LexisNexis has changed their interface. Gone are the 6 widgets and now there is a single searchbox, ala Google. If you want to still use the widgets, the 3 most popular are still there: News, Court cases, and Company research. They are located near the bottom of the page and are expandible. Questions? Email us at ask@sinclair.libanswers.com

Changes to Libsearch - 1/8/2014

There have been some changes to the way Libsearch functions over the break. Here is a list of a few of the more important ones:

  • The limiters you select on the left of the results screen no longer re-set if you type in a new search term.
  • All links should be in one spot, near the bottom of each result.
  • The interface has a slightly cleaner, less cluttered look.

and last, the familiar yellow "FIND IT" icon is gone and has been replaced with Find Full Text through LinkSource.

LibChat - 11/5/2013

About a month ago we added a Chat button at the top of the Library webpage. This is what we call LibChat and is part of our Reference service. So far it has worked well. So feel free to chat with us when you see this image: Chat is online . If you see this one:  Chat is offline - Ask a Question or browse our existing Answers!, go ahead and ask the question anyway. It will take you to our Live 24/7 chat service, Academic Know-it-Now, where a librarian from OhioLINK will be able to assist you.

If you have not seen it yet, please check out the new interface for our library catalog. If you have any problems, questions, or comments, please let us know.
