Library Research Tutorial is live - 5/5/2014
Sinclair's library research tutorial contains six modules, each covering a part of the research process. The goal is to help students understand the research process. Steps include: Introduction to the Library, Choosing a Topic, Types of Sources, Search Strategies, Evaulating Information, and Using Sources. Learning Express Library is changing - 4/15/2014
The current version of Learning Express Library is 2.0. They are moving to 3.0 at the end of June. What this means is that ALL current users of 2.0 need to switch to 3.0. You will lose any saved tests and courses, so you need to wrap them up before the switch date. All new users should register for 3.0. Changes to LexisNexis Interface - 1/13/2014
LexisNexis has changed their interface. Gone are the 6 widgets and now there is a single searchbox, ala Google. If you want to still use the widgets, the 3 most popular are still there: News, Court cases, and Company research. They are located near the bottom of the page and are expandible. Questions? Changes to Libsearch - 1/8/2014
There have been some changes to the way Libsearch functions over the break. Here is a list of a few of the more important ones:
- The limiters you select on the left of the results screen no longer re-set if you type in a new search term.
- All links should be in one spot, near the bottom of each result.
- The interface has a slightly cleaner, less cluttered look.
and last, the familiar yellow "FIND IT" icon is gone and has been replaced with .
LibChat - 11/5/2013
About a month ago we added a Chat button at the top of the Library webpage. This is what we call LibChat and is part of our Reference service. So far it has worked well. So feel free to chat with us when you see this image: . If you see this one: , go ahead and ask the question anyway. It will take you to our Live 24/7 chat service, Academic Know-it-Now, where a librarian from OhioLINK will be able to assist you.

LibAnswers - 11/27/2012
We have aquired a product called LibAnswers. It replaces the old email reference service we used to have (although you can still email us). LibAnswers is built on a FAQ and answers database that will hopefully help you answer your questions. Please help us by providing feedback of your experience.

Mobile EBSCO Access - 7/25/2012
Do you have an iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry or other mobile device? If you do, you can access the EBSCOhost databases remotely from your device. You can choose to use the mobile browser version, or you can download the iPhone and Android apps. Don't forget that you will need to put in your 9-digit Tartan card number to access these databases. Once in, select the databases you wish to search and start searching!

New Online Resource: Credo Reference - 7/02/2012
Credo Reference provides full-text online versions of nearly 1200 published reference works from more than 70 publishers in every major subject, including general and subject dictionaries and encyclopedias.
